This Week’s #GolfChat Questions

Q1: Harris English wins an 8 hole playoff at the Travelers PGA, Nelly Korda wins first major at KPMG Women’s PGA and moves to world #1, Hovland wins BMW, and you played this past weekend.  What was your favorite moment from this past week in all of golf? #GolfChat

Q2: Harris English and Kramer Hickok tied the longest number of sudden-death playoff holes at 8 this past Sunday at the Travelers Championship. What did you think of the entire playoff being held on just the 18th hole again and again? What do you think is the most practical or fair playoff format? #GolfChat

Q3: Nelly Korda is a major winner for the 1st time, but also No. 1 in the world. She is the first American major winner since Angela Stanford won the 2018 Evian and first U.S.-born world No. 1 since Stacy Lewis in 2014. Do you think having a strong US women’s contingent is best for the ladies pro game, or do you believe that a strong international game is better for the game? #GolfChat

Q4: Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Bryson DeChambeau, and Xander Schauffele make up the US men’s Olympic team.  Jessica and Nelly Korda, Danielle Kang and Lexi Thompson go as the women’s team. Is it perception, or do the women seem more excited to play in the Olympics?#GolfChat

Q5: Covid caused a lot of things to change in golf and one thing was lessons. Many teaching and playing pros move to on-line lessons? Have you ever take an on-line lesson or would  you consider it? #GolfChat

Q6: What’s your week in golf look like and what are you excited about? #GolfChat

Welcome to #GolfChat! Who’s joining us and how was your past week of golf?  #GolfChat

This Week’s #GolfChat Questions

Q1: #1 comment I saw during the coverage of the US Open amongst #GolfChatters was too many commercials, not enough golf shots, and booth commentary.  The only way around it is going to be subscription based; what are you willing to pay for a major and what format?  Anybody remember the 1980 Jets vs Dolphins game with no commentators?   #GolfChat

Q2: As we move towards July, it’s time for Member-Guests events around the country (world?). Have you ever played in a Member-Guest event as either?  Are these competitive, more social outside a few teams?  Let us know what your experience has been #GolfChat

Q3:  #GolfChat’s own @Cade4ISU won the Briggs Woods Amateur tourney with a 27 hole score of 110 to win by 1.  Cade almost didn’t get out of bed to play, @Golfer_Jake_78 told him to play.  Have you ever not felt your best and played anyway?  How’d it go? #GolfChat

Q4: It’s going to be hot around much the country, especially out West. this coming weekend (104 in Portland). How does hot weather change your approach to golfing? Just drink more water or do you take other proactive steps to fend off the heat? What is your temperature/humidity cutoff? #GolfChat

Q5: @RaphaelEivots has banished his driver due to poor performance, have you pulled a club out of your bag to punish it? How did the offending club get back into the bag, or did you get another?  What was the club? #GolfChat

Q6: What’s your week in golf look like and what are you excited about? #GolfChat

Welcome to #GolfChat! Who’s joining us and how was your past week of golf?  #GolfChat

This Week’s #GolfChat Questions

Q1: It was asked when pro golf came back, what would happen if the leader test positive for covid and we found out this past weekend when Jon Rham, leading by 6 after Saturday, was WD after a positive test. Live TV captured the moment tour officials told Rham, was it handled the right way or would could have been done different? #GolfChat

Q2: U.S. Women’s Open had lots of story lines, a historic venue, notable play by 3 young amateurs, a popular leader and 2 players pursuing going into the back 9 then a collapse and a play off with the youngest winner ever. Was this the drama and story lines you expected from a US Open, or was this special? #GolfChat

Q3: This past week @Weahterhack found himself playing well, +1 after 10 holes, but nerves kicked in and he finished +5 for the round. How do you handle being outside your comfort zone when amid a “special” round? Is it expectations or looking ahead, we all know “One shot at a time”, but does that work? #GolfChat

Q4: @ArtieCubed tweeted about a driving range customer loading up 2 buckets of balls into their trunk.  What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever seen on the driving range? Once saw a significant other show up, grab a club, and start swinging it at a guy. #GolfChat

Q5: @JDMoran_MT played recently at a course with back to back par 3’s and asked how common are they as well as back to back par 5’s? While back to back par 5’s seem to be more common, have you played back to back par 3’s and what do you think of them? #GolfChat

Q6: What’s your week in golf look like and what are you excited about? #GolfChat
